Power and Politics: Sean Bruyea gets apology

Sean Bruyea on Power and Politics

Host of Power and Politics, Evan Solomon interviews veteran Sean Bruyea about the latest development in his case: the issue of a formal apology by Veterans Affairs Minister Jean-Pierre Blackburn.

Bruyea was the victim of one of the worst violations of the Privacy Act in Canadian history, when senior bureaucrats accessed his personal medical records and distributed these to more than 800 people. This was apparently an attempt to punish and discredit Bruya for his forceful criticism of the New Veterans Charter, a controversial scheme which eliminated lifetime benefits for wounded veterans and replaced this with a lump sum of much less value.
