When a whistleblower is considering going public we provide a 'matchmaking' service to help them connect with a trusted investigative journalist. We maintain a confidential register to help us identify the most suitable journalist for any given case. FAIR has an extensive network of people who have expertise in the field, including whistleblowers whose cases are well known. We will gladly offer assistance in locating suitable speakers for an event. Please contact us for help.

Virtually every scandal – in government or in the public sector – has a whistleblower dimension: either because the story has come to light through information provided by insiders, and/or because the problem was preventable if the organization had listened to these insiders and fixed the problem, instead of covering up.

Whistleblowing is also a subject with great human interest: people relate to the heroic efforts of ordinary employees striving to do the right thing and protect the public interest.

Whistleblowers can also provide shocking insights into the 'dark side' of our institutions: the systemic wrongdoing and incompetence that thrives wherever there is inadequate transparency and accountability.
